The calendar is an app called Dateline. It was pretty cheap when I got it, and it's somewhat helpful. I wish I had something that held a little more info, but it's good for a quick glance.

I want to do a time lapse tilt shift movie, but I want to add the tilt shift after the shot (I do not have a tilt shift lens).

It is a MacBook Pro i7 it stays on 24/7 and always sits on my desk I rarely transport it anywhere. So leaving the application running won't be a problem

That would work--when I get a MBP (D2C). My current 'book has S video and 1/8" audio out, which was fine three years ago. I currently run component from my HD sat receiver to the plasma, optical to my HT system and HDMI from the HT to the plasma. I like Multimedia's idea of using an EyeTV DVR and a Mac Mini I have sitting in the play room. I've got DVR on my standard sets upstairs and it's quite addicting.

My wife and I were just talking about upgrading the HD receiver to a DVR but for the same price I can own the EyeTV DVR and use my Mac Mini with it.Well I guess you should check your luck with a Terk TV5 off air antennae direct connect to your Digital TV tuner to confirm you can receive decent HDTV Broadcast signals before buying the EyeTV 500.

i've never seen that problem before. i get the tops of the speech bubbles cut off sometimes.

If you are commenting on what you do, then its people like you that make the studios demand limits on legitimate customers like me.

this might be OT, but the castle thing made me think of a few other points too. Apologies in advance.
1. MobileMe should NOT be rebranded. They can "add cloud castle level security" whatever, but keep it simple. MobileMe has great recognition (if a subpar rep, but see AppleTV) attached to it.
2. MobileMe should be worth the money. It is currently a ripoff when so much else is free. Apple should give a small wifi dropbox style sync for free among apple products (like dropbox) under the MobileMe name, and a wifi sync for iphone (free). This is not "entitlement", this is a basic functionality in 2011.

If "A mans Home is his castle" then maybe what they are talking about is a service that upgrades the users home folder to a "Castle" which would be stored and syncing to the Cloud and across all your devices.
In which case in would be better if it wasn't linked to MobileMe at all.

Yes security relying on obscurity is no security at all, but that doesn't mean that obscurity isn't a valid early security measure. So keeping your iCloud user name separate is important.
After all your email address is out there in public, so you don't want that tied to your private storehouse do you.
Also If someone has a different public face ie. their own domain then the syncing service could still be useful to them.
I think this might add to MobileMe becoming free, but reduced in size. With a set of Paid upgrade that the user can select to suit. So if you just want live access to itunes library then you can have just that. Want to sync your home folder then that is a bit more. It allows for better targetting of the value.

The http://www.att.com/anymobile site appears to be live now. However, the FAQ link goes to a "down for maintenance" page, and I don't see the new feature as an option in my account yet (with rate plan Family Talk 700).

I've owned my SB (2011) MBP for over a month now. I have yet to use the Thunderbolt port and wished many times that it had USB3.0 support. Are there any Thunderbolt adapters available on the market yet? TB to USB 3.0 would be great. Alternatively a docking station would be cool. Anything besides the one LaCie drive?

How do we know that the extendable text box might not become an overlay of the page that wouldn't damage the design? As you tab out or deactivate the box, it shrinks back to size. I'm sure this design has been thought through more in Cupertino than most people have spent here in the past hour.
The WebKit nightly I just tried moves stuff around, as specified by the CSS3 standard. It's really not much of a problem as long as designers are careful with their positioning.
