My lawyer sent me the fedex tracking sheet for the I-485 package sent to:
USCIS
Nebraska Service Center
850 S Street
Lincoln, NE 68508
I did not see any PO Box on the Fedex tracking sheet. I am not sure if she put the PO Box on the shipping label or not??
Is it a big deal?? Will my application be accepted.
Please help
po box is for usps delivery only. fedex doesn't delivery mails addressed to po box.

Similar lines ask the white house program. many people in the forum sent Q's to USCIS director and he didnt chose even one Q about retrogression or labor situation etc..

Hello All,
I am on a 6th year on H1-B with my 140 approved. I am due for renewal on June 2010 with my employer who is a desi consulting company.. My employer has around 100+ employees.
I am recently moving over to a new consulting opportunity which my employer has showed me which is corp corp with prime vendor in between
I also have another Full time offer pending with a Big 5 consulting company who promised me to sponsor my H1 and re start my GC process since my 485 is not approved I need couple of suggestions if somebody could advice
Is it better to stay with my desi consulting company because my GC is in process with them? I am little afraid with respect to this new USCIS Memo( Employee employer relationship in terms of H1 processing and travelling to india
OR
Is it better to move on with the full time offer with top 5 consulting company . This from my career perspective would be growth but only disadvantage is that I need to re start my GC process . Hopefully I should be able to port my PD date..
I am little torn up on what to choose ( full time or stay on corp to corp ). Can anybody advise if its better to compromise on GC and take the Full time offer because of all this scrutiny that USCIS is doing with ..
Thanks,

BS + 5 Years Experience == EB2
Could we use the 5 years experience from other country? Or should It be from USA?

Call USCIS and tell them you have not received your green cards yet..
Do not give any incorrect directions.
TexasGuy: As long as you remember your alien number that would do - Since you filed for replacement card, you have nothing to worry. Just make sure, your are not the victim of identity theft.

My current employer gurantee that he will not withdraw I-140. I also talked to lawyer and she said it is individual choice but it is always good to let USCIS know since your case is pending..
However, I am little nervous since I heard that USCIS is rejecting I-485 for straight forward AC21 cases. Can't really think which way should go?
Thank you for your replies and interest.
If you do not plan to return to the original employer after GC approval; you have to use AC 21. (otherwise it will be problem in future).
However, "using AC21" does not require you to send anything to USCIS (although you CAN send); what would be needed at minimum is some documentation that justifies the "same or similar" occupation and wages. Now you can have this documentation with your lawyer and never send it to USCIS (unless asked for) or you can file it with USCIS (and in that case it gets lost in 90% cases as their mailroom does not know what to do with it). Having this documentation will help you in future if there is a question why you did not work for the sponsoring employer after GC approval.
See my comments in following thread as well:

Hope this clarifies things.
Good Luck.

All,
I sent out my application to USCIS last week and while talking to a friend I realized that I had not filled the Item
"If your native alphabet is in other than Roman letters, write your name in your native alphabet below:"
I neither filled it with my native alphabet nor filled it with a "N/A" Even my lawyer has not detected this.
Is this going to be an issue? What will the USCIS do about it? Since I still have time does it make sense to send a revised form? Is some one out there who have done this?
Please let me know
Thanks
-Sri

Nice talking to you, and thanks much for your guidance, help, and time Chandu. The short phone conversation with you was quite informative and helpful. Thanks to IV for your initiatives to help the members who are in trouble with immigration matters.
Thanks.
My pleasure. MOTIC will resolve your issue. Your lawyer will manage it. Good luck.

Hello Folks
I had valid stamp till 2011 but at POE I was given H1b till Nov 2010. My lawer told me that person at POE may have made mistake. My old stamp has validity Nov 2007. So he may have overlooked and give me 3 years stay based on that stamp. ( US consulate didont put dark stamp ( Cancelled without prejuidice ) . It was just marked with pen.
Now my 6th year will expire in Nov 2011. I have I 140 approved. so when I apply for H1b ext in Nov 2010 will I get 3 years or just till Nov 2011 and then again new extention for 3 years ?

Thanks a million MatsP. Here's proof of what I wrote about still learning about this camera after 4 years: I'd never come across EXIF before and after searching through the camera manual I figured I probably didn't have it. Just in case, though, I rumaged around in Irfan and Picture Window Pro and found that all that EXIF information is there after all and I never knew it. I will now take a photo at what I have calculated is the 50mm standard equiv focal length and then check the EXIF to see how close it is.
So, I'm really grateful for your drawing that to my attention. By the way, Farmborough - brings back memories of cycling from the RAE YMCA through to NGTE each day some 25 years ago. I know the YMCA's not there any more and I'm sure the RAE and NGTE have undergone many changes of name since then.
Thanks again
Martin

OK...now guys, strictly speaking the memo does not say anything about "conditional" GC...in legal speak. Just that they could revoke it if the person is considered inadmissable after the Name Check results come back. "Conditional GC" per se has the support of the actual statute only for Married to citizen, EB5 investment GC's etc.
And now for those who feel that USCIS is not approving cases whose NC's are pending, I know 2 of my friends and I whose NC's were pending when the file was with the officer (and approved in a week) and in my case NC was pending even at 6:30pm eastern (when I called the second level IIO at the NCSC) the day before I got the CPO e-mail (next day at 9am).
I have also seen several cases where people have called/went to Infopass after they got the GC to find out whether the NC was cleared....and it was pending !
so this should throw away all apprehensions about the 180+ rule not being implemented out of the window...
